ORF Filmempfehlungen - Datenbank (inaktiv)
Intern habe ich meine ORF Daten schon immer in einer kleinen Datenbank gehabt, aber mit mod_php4 und mysql geht's jetzt schnell und einfach genug für alle. (War nur ein Tag Arbeit)
xvid mingw binaries and perl scripts
I do regular mingw builds of the CVS xvid snapshots, upload them on every change, and use them in production. See the README and download the latest xvid build.
I also wrote some small perl scripts for VirtualDubMod job creation and subtitle handling.

Based on PhpWiki, which I also maintain. Contains the FAQ and most acad customization tips, so that you can freely edit the content at this website. Make annotations, fixes, add pages, delete parts, as you like. This will hopefully replace most of the AutoCAD parts here.

"Cut'n Paste" Websampler (inaktiv, broken)
Metasearch engine which focuses on the content and not on the links. A search query presents the best found texts seemingless, with the links as footnotes. For now only for text and images, online sound sampling will come soon. (Since AltaVista changes its html templates every months I haven't written a more intelligent agent the altavista search will sometimes find nothing.) (original location.) Developed for the Cut'n Paste Workshop with Robert Adrian X and Andi Rumpfhuber, at the hightech/lowtech seminar in the forum stadtpark, styrian autumn 2000.

SCAN_DWG: Free GNU C source to read AutoCAD R12 DWG's, by Frans Faase
the original SCAN_DWG.C source code maintained by Frans, (this works okay)
My newer version of SCAN_DWG.C (this doesn't work on some DWG's, only WATCOM DOS, but has more header vars)
tarred version, zipped version I was trying to work on a Lisp version (interpreted) to reverse engineer the DWG format. I've got some special .FAS funcs to read/write ints and doubles from binary streams, so maybe someone wants to help me...
I've just got a bunch of another interesting things to do.

A Quake exporter from Acad is not so easy to implement because quake needs convex polyhedra, but there exists a 3ds max exporter with which we produced really nice virtual worlds.
MSG: Free software utility to maintain different language versions of your source code, for all major programming languages (LSP,DCL,C,C++,PAS,...), C source. Manipulates the sources, so produces pre-compiled language specific versions, not at run-time. This old version is written in C. A new and better perl version is at /autocad/stdlib/utils/.

There's also an official AutoDesk MSG program on the ADGE compuserve forum for registered AutoCAD developers. This works at run-time.
Microsoft's MC message compiler is nice for run-time retrieval, but relies on the availability of windows resources. There are also GNU gettext and the X/Open catgets.
The old C version became unmaintainable, so I rewrote it in perl with more features. But it is not fully tested yet. See at the stdlib (url above).
TDCREATE: Free software utility to check if some AutoCAD drawing files (<= R12 only) are copied from one another, also subdirs. for my acad courses :)

Originated as a patch for Asterisk a PBX system, written from scratch in C, because perl, regex, pcre or the original regex code is horrible.
(not here yet, was for some time in the Asterisk CVS, but removed because it's not thread-safe)

3DS format I had somewhere sample source code, but cannot I find it now. But I found my old version of the 3DS format description (no keys)
PERL Winhelp and HTMLHelp for Windows , pod2rtf.pl I converted the perl pod format to rtf and voila: perl.hlp for windows. pod2rtf converts any simple pod format (almost pure ascii) to winhelp compilable rtf's.
The old version used to be on CPAN for some time, I'll upload the latest ones soon.

L-Systems in Autolisp This is the snapshot from my 93 enthusiasm on l systems. Published recently by accident on a comp.graphics.algorithms question BEFORE seeing lparser by Laurens Lapré.
Back in good old days (pre-usenet) I implementated all of the lindenmayer book suggestions and more into autolisp, not only simple 0L-systems. but it's experimental code and not supported in any way. l-systems are algorithmically interesting.

Pythonwin finally lets me understand MFC. C++ is too hairy and too bad in my eyes. V also looks much simplier

planned: qacad a quake editor inside AutoCAD. Rejected, 3ds max has a nice exporter which works most of the time very fine and we produced phantastic results. Really unbelievable for PC's.
